Safe Removal
A quick, safe, and effective solution to clear your skin of unwanted blemishes at Rose Hill Aesthetics.
Safety Consultation
We first examine the lesion to confirm it is benign and safe to remove. Your safety is our priority; if a mole looks suspicious, we will refer you for further medical advice.
Precise Removal
Depending on the lesion, we use techniques like cryotherapy or specialized cautery to remove the tag or mole precisely at the base with minimal impact on surrounding skin.
Healing Process
A small scab will form where the lesion was removed. This naturally protects the fresh skin underneath and will fall off on its own within 5-10 days.
Clear Results
Once healed, the area is smooth and lesion-free. We recommend using SPF on the area to prevent hyperpigmentation as the new skin settles.
Lesion Ablation Protocol
Ensuring Precise Tissue Healing & Aesthetic Integrity
Clinical Documentation & Screening:
Prior to removal, all moles must be clinically assessed. If a lesion exhibits irregular borders, varied pigmentation, or rapid growth, we may require a GP's letter or dermatological clearance to ensure the lesion is benign before aesthetic ablation.
Vascular Management:
To ensure a clean clinical field and minimize localized bleeding, avoid Aspirin, Ibuprofen, and alcohol for 48 hours prior to your session. If you are on prescription blood thinners, please discuss this with your specialist during your consultation.
Topical Hygiene:
Arrive for your session with the skin free of lotions, perfumes, or self-tanning products. If the lesion is in a hair-bearing area (such as the scalp or chin), please do not shave the area on the day of treatment to avoid micro-irritation.
Photosensitivity Check:
Avoid intense sun exposure or tanning for 2 weeks prior to removal. Tanned skin is more prone to post-treatment pigment changes, making it difficult to achieve a seamless, scar-free result during the healing phase.
Primary Healing Window:
Keep the treated area dry and clean for the first 24–48 hours. A small crust or "scab" will naturally form over the ablation site; it is critical that you do not pick, scratch, or prematurely remove this crust, as doing so increases the risk of scarring.
Localized Barrier Care:
Once the initial 48-hour window has passed, apply a thin layer of the recommended clinical antibiotic ointment or sterile petroleum jelly twice daily. This "moist healing" environment prevents the crust from cracking and promotes faster re-epithelialization.
Activity & Friction Control:
Avoid strenuous exercise and swimming (chlorine/saltwater) for at least 5–7 days. If the lesion was removed from an area prone to clothing friction, protect it with a breathable sterile dressing to prevent mechanical irritation.
Long-term UV Protection:
New skin at the removal site is pink and extremely sensitive to light. You must apply a broad-spectrum SPF 50 daily for at least 3 months to prevent the area from darkening (Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation).
