The PRP Process
A simple, three-step biological treatment performed by experts at Rose Hill Aesthetics using your body's own healing properties.
Collection
We begin by drawing a small amount of blood from your arm, similar to a standard blood test. This sample is the foundation of your treatment.
Separation
The sample is placed in a centrifuge, which spins at high speeds to separate the plasma and concentrate the platelets rich in growth factors.
Injection
The "liquid gold" PRP is carefully injected into the target area (face or scalp) to release growth factors and stimulate regeneration.
Results
Over the following weeks, you will notice improved skin texture or new hair growth as the collagen and follicles are revitalized.
Bio-Cellular PRP Protocol
Optimizing Autologous Growth Factors & Tissue Regeneration
Hydration & Platelet Density:
Increase your water intake significantly (2–3 liters) for 24 hours prior. This increases blood volume and optimizes the concentration of platelets during the centrifugation process. Avoid caffeine on the morning of treatment.
Nutritional & Chemical Stability:
Avoid anti-inflammatory medications (Ibuprofen, Aspirin) and alcohol for 72 hours. These substances can interfere with platelet function. Eat a healthy, low-fat meal before your appointment to prevent dizziness during the blood draw.
Hair & Scalp Hygiene (For Hair PRP):
Wash your hair thoroughly on the morning of the procedure using a mild shampoo. Ensure the scalp is free of styling products, fibers, or dry shampoos to maintain a sterile field for the micro-injections.
Dermal Cleanliness (For Face PRP):
Arrive with a clean face, free of makeup or heavy creams. We will perform a clinical sterilization, but having a base layer of calm skin ensures the growth factors integrate without inflammatory interference.
Plasma Absorption Window:
Do not wash your face or scalp for at least 12–24 hours. Allowing the plasma to remain on the skin/scalp maximizes the absorption of growth factors. For hair PRP, avoid using a hat or tight headwear for the first day.
Anti-Inflammatory Restriction:
Continue to avoid anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs) for 5 days post-treatment. PRP relies on a localized inflammatory response to trigger regeneration; suppressing this with medication can diminish the clinical results.
Activity & Thermal Protection:
Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, and hot tubs for 48 hours. Increased body temperature can lead to localized swelling and may interfere with the initial cellular repair phase initiated by the growth factors.
Hair Care & Product Resumption:
For scalp treatments, wait 48 hours before using hair styling products or chemical dyes. For facial treatments, wait 5 days before re-introducing active acids or Retinol. Always protect treated areas with SPF 50.
