Preparation
The area to be treated will be cleansed and prepared. While we recommend shaving 24 hours prior, we ensure the skin is perfectly prepped. Protective eyewear is provided to ensure your safety throughout the procedure.

After-Care
Post-treatment care is vital. We apply a soothing aloe vera gel to promote healing. We advise avoiding direct sun exposure and using high SPF protection for two weeks to maintain the health and radiance of your skin.
Repeat Sessions
To achieve a permanently smooth beardline, multiple sessions are required. These are typically spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, targeting hair follicles during their active growth cycle for maximum effectiveness.
Before & After Treatment
- Shave Completely: Shave the back of the hands, fingers, and knuckles 24 hours prior to treatment. Be careful around the knuckle bones to avoid cuts.
- Remove Jewelry: Please remove all rings, bracelets, and watches before your appointment. The laser cannot treat skin covered by jewelry or immediately adjacent to metal.
- Sun Protection: Hands are constantly exposed to UV rays (even while driving). Ensure you have used SPF 50+ on your hands daily for 2 weeks prior. Tanned hands cannot be treated.
- Clean Skin: Wash your hands thoroughly before the session to remove hand creams, lotions, or sanitizers, which can block the laser or cause irritation.
- Stop Retinols: If you use anti-aging hand creams containing Retinol or Glycolic Acid, discontinue use 3-5 days before your session.
- SPF is Vital: Apply SPF 50+ to your hands immediately after treatment and reapply throughout the day, especially after washing your hands.
- Avoid Hot Water: For 24 hours, wash your hands with cool or lukewarm water. Avoid hot water (e.g., doing dishes) or steam, as this can aggravate the follicles.
- Hand Sanitizers: Avoid alcohol-based hand sanitizers for 24 hours if possible, as they may sting or dry out the treated skin.
- Cool & Moisturise: The skin may look slightly red (like a mild sunburn). Apply a cool compress or Aloe Vera gel. Keep hands moisturised with a fragrance-free lotion.
- Avoid Friction: If you do heavy manual work or wear tight gloves (e.g., gym gloves or gardening gloves), try to avoid this for 24 hours to prevent friction irritation.

- The skin on the hands is thin and sits close to the bone, so the sensation can be described as a quick, warm snap.
- However, the treatment is extremely fast—often taking less than 15 minutes—so any discomfort is very brief.
- No. Hands are high sun-exposure areas. If you have an active tan (real or fake), we cannot treat the area as it increases the risk of burns.
- Please ensure your tan has faded and you have used SPF 50+ for 2 weeks prior to your session.
- Laser hair removal does not affect the nail plate.
- However, if you have very long acrylics or light-reflecting jewelry/nail art, we may cover them during the treatment to prevent the laser light from reflecting off the surface.
