The Path to Renewal
Experience expert exfoliation at Rose Hill Aesthetics. Here is how we reveal your new skin.
Prep & Cleanse
We thoroughly cleanse and degrease your skin to ensure even penetration. A barrier balm is applied to sensitive areas (like the corners of the nose/eyes) for protection.
Application
The customized chemical solution is applied. You may feel a slight tingling or warming sensation as the active ingredients begin to exfoliate the upper layers.
Neutralize & Soothe
Once the desired depth is reached, the peel is neutralized or removed. We finish with cooling serums and SPF to protect the fresh skin.
Reveal
Over the next few days, your skin may gently flake or peel. Once this subsides, your complexion will appear smoother, brighter, and more even.
Epidermal Resurfacing Protocol
Optimizing Controlled Exfoliation & Dermal Regeneration
Active Ingredient Cessation:
To prevent excessive dermal penetration and potential "frosting" or burns, discontinue the use of Retinol (Vitamin A), Tretinoin, and all exfoliating acids (AHA/BHA) for 7 days prior to your clinical peel.
Photosensitivity & UV Prep:
Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanning products for 2 weeks prior. We cannot apply chemical peels to sun-stressed or sunburnt skin, as the inflammatory response would be dangerously high.
Mechanical Integrity:
Refrain from facial waxing, threading, or abrasive physical scrubs for 1 week. The epidermal barrier must be structurally intact to ensure the chemical solution absorbs uniformly across the entire treatment area.
Pre-Peel Priming (If Applicable):
For deeper peels, our specialists may recommend a specific pigment-suppressing cream or gentle cleanser to "prime" the skin. This lowers the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, especially in Fitzpatrick types IV-VI.
The Non-Intervention Rule:
As your skin begins to peel or flake (usually on day 3–5), strictly do not pick, peel, or scrub the skin. Prematurely removing peeling skin can cause permanent scarring, infections, or long-term pigment irregularities.
Strict UV Shielding:
Your skin is temporarily devoid of its protective outer layer. You must apply a broad-spectrum SPF 50 daily, even indoors. Avoid direct sunlight for at least 14 days post-treatment to prevent UV damage to the fresh skin cells.
Barrier Support & Hydration:
Focus on "gentle and bland" skincare for 7–10 days. Use only the recommended lipid-replenishing moisturizers and non-foaming cleansers. Avoid active anti-aging products until the peeling process is completely finalized.
Thermal & Chemical Restrictions:
Avoid saunas, steam rooms, and intense exercise for 48–72 hours. Excessive heat can increase localized edema and discomfort. Refrain from swimming in chlorinated water for at least 1 week following your peel.
